She has spoken at multiple conferences for LGBT Christians, including Revoice and Q Christian. She also writes and speaks frequently on arts and culture, covering everything from medieval friendship traditions to men's figure skating.
Today, she lives in California with her partner and family, with whom she shares a covenant friendship modeled after the promises of Ruth to Naomi: “Wherever you go, I will go. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.”
